The internet made real: I’ve known the guy with the banjo, Rupa, for years, from Metafilter and from the #mefi/#tapes IRC channels, but I’ve never met him before let alone sat around with him at another mefite’s house after midnight and passed a banjo back and forth.
Philadelphia was basically 14 hours of non-stop meetup, after a six hour drive after four hours of sleep. I lived through yesterday, so I’m pretty sure I can live through anything on this trip.
And it was a fantastic day.
